PSCo installed three of Panasonic’s flagship 103” plasma screens for the Olympic Signing Ceremony, held in London during early September 2007.
Two 103” screens were installed as part of the stage set for the global press conference. In order to get the two screens into position, the PSCo team had to negotiate two flights of stairs. A ten strong installation team were brought in to carry the 220kg screen up the stairs, with the aid of a bag specially designed for the job. The screens were then lifted into place onto Fisher Productions’ stage set with a specially made truss frame.
The final plasma was transported downstairs with a selection of Panasonic’s other flagship products into the intimate ‘undercroft’ of the building, where the screen was set beneath an archway providing a magnificent centre piece.
